The Center for Contemporary Solidarity Studies (CeSCoS) of the University of Vienna and the Austrian Foundation for Development Research (OeFSE) jointly organise this small symposium that brings together a group of experts to discuss the aspirations and realities of UBI interventions in the Global South and beyond.

Marcia Gibson, who has synthesised evidence on the effect of unconditional cash payments on health, wellbeing, and other outcomes (also in the Global North) will be the keynote speaker.
